Your favorite Zendesk theme just got better!
This is a major update for Flatrock, one of our prominent themes. We reworked the existing settings and added more functionality and customization options.
The update for the Flatrock theme comes with a lot of built-in settings and new features that allow you to brand your theme fully without a single line of code. The update gives you even more options to customize and redesign your theme your way.
You can now customize and adapt your theme to your content and other requirements easily.
What’s new in the major Flatrock theme upgrade?
More Color Variants
The new Flatrock upgrade is more than just a color change. Every variant offers a different look and feel for the user.
We have revamped the color variants to help you choose a help center theme that fits your company best. The theme’s new visual elements help make your help center more attractive and blended with your official brand colors.
Header with New Features
We made the header more interactive and customizable to your page design. The update includes three more optional link blocks that you can edit from the theme settings. You can now add more page links for your preferred web pages to make them more interactive.
The new Flatrock theme also has a redesigned dropdown menu with a list of categories that clients can use to navigate through your help center quickly.
We added a small badge at the top right corner of the theme that displays the number of new or open tickets.
Main Page
We added the “popular searches” feature below the search bar. You can also edit them from the settings menu to include your users’ most popular search terms.
The update includes an info block for important notifications for your clients. You can edit the info block from the settings menu or turn it off.
The new categories section is more customizable and can be shown as boxes, a tree, or accordions, depending on your content and preferences. For example, if you have many categories, we recommend displaying them as boxes to make your main page less cluttered and more intuitive.
We also added a “promoted articles” section that can be displayed as a list or accordions. You can display new or most popular articles as accordions if you have short articles to reduce user clicks. Again, this depends on your content and preferences.
The update includes New Contact boxes that allow you to add various “Contact Us” options. You can use these boxes as links or static text to display contact information and other helpful details like work hours to your users.
Inner Pages
The new redesigned Flatrock inner pages now have a prominent search bar to help users find answers to their questions quickly.
Informative Error Page
We made the error page friendlier and useful for users. It is now more informative and easily customizable. You can now customize the error page to display helpful (promoted) articles and a “Submit a request” button.
